How to use the German Federal Employment Agency's job board
The Jobbörse is Germany's largest job board – free and official. The interface is in German, but with the right search terms and filters you'll find suitable jobs in minutes.
You'll find the Jobbörse at arbeitsagentur.de/jobsuche. Everyone from large corporations to small trades businesses advertises there, and it's free to use.
1. Search with German job titles
Listings use German job titles – English searches return few results.

2. Location and radius
Enter a city or postcode under “Wo” and choose a radius (Umkreis). Start with 25 km.
3. Useful filters
- Veröffentlichungsdatum: listings from the last 7 days
- Arbeitszeit: full-time (Vollzeit), part-time (Teilzeit), Minijob
- Hide temp agencies (Zeitarbeit) if you want direct employment
- Unbefristet: permanent positions only
4. Jobs you can apply to by email
Look near the end of the listing for “Bewerbung per E-Mail an …” or an address like “bewerbung(at)firma.de”. These are often small employers who reply quickly.
